I built my own shed. it's 16' by 8'. i used 2"x2" for the frame, pitched roof is 2x2 'a' frame, so no columns. floor and roof panels are ply wood.. To do this i built a temporary frame that was the exact size needed to act as a placement guide. making a similar temporary frame may be useful if you are building a shed on relatively flat ground, however, carefully measuring corner-to-corner to check for squareness of the layout of your ground blocks should be sufficient..
